Miss Ansah Amir

Consultant Dietitian and Nutritionist

About Her

Miss Ansah Amir practices as Consultant Dietitian and Nutritionist at Diabetic’s Institute Pakistan. She did her Bachelors in Food and Nutrition from College of Home Economics, Punjab University, that is known as one of the pioneer institutes for providing qualified nutritionists. There she had been presented with certificate of merit in academia. Miss Ansah completed her Master of Philosophy in Food Sciences and Human Nutrition from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore. Her research work includes development of Carbohydrate Counting Tool for Traditional Mixed Pakistani Dishes. During her degree, she had been enrolled in various hospitals and got practical training in clinical setting. In 2015, she did nutritional training from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre where she managed dietary care of cancer patients. In 2016 she completed her inpatient dietary training from Fatima Memorial Hospital and in 2019 from Hameed Latif Hospital. Before joining DIP, she had been working as a clinical nutritionist at Dilawar Hussain Foundation and Diabetes Management Centre. Miss Ansah herself has type1 diabetes and serving diabetes community for years. She is also holding the responsibility of Leader Juvenile Club at Diabetic’s Institute Pakistan. She works as a community Leader at Meethi Zindagi, support group for type1 diabetes where she gives sessions on dietary care and lifestyle management. In addition, she conducts educational workshops at Structured Education for Type1 diabetes Understanding in various cities of Pakistan.
